COLOUR: A lovely coral pink.

NOSE AND PALATE: Strawberries, raspberries, creaming soda, watermelon and spicy cherry aroma’s dominate the nose and palate. Delicious and mouthwatering juicy, the wine has a lovely freshness that finishes dry begging you to have another glass!

REGION: 100% Waipara Valley, North Canterbury

WINEMAKING: The fruit was harvested at optimum flavour as assessed through frequent tasting in the vineyard by the winemaker. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning then quickly pressed to minimise colour pick-up. The juice was cold settled then fermented at low temperatures to optimise the preservation of the lovely red berry aromatics of the wine. The wine was fermented to almost dryness then stopped and left on lees for 3 weeks to build texture on the palate. At blending, a small portion of Pinot Gris was blended with the Pinot Noir adding a lovely floral lift to the wine. The wine was bottled in November.

WINEMAKER: Alastair Maling

GRAPE VARIETY: 94% Pinot Noir & 6% Pinot Gris

MATURATION: 100% stainless steel fermentation
